  • Here Comes the Flood curated by Daniel Barnes

It all begins with a parable. Imagine the Old Testament God had decided to send a great flood to wipe out the immoral people of Tottenham. In the manner of a 21st century Noah, curator Daniel Barnes is charged with the task of building an ark and saving the artists. And, as per Genesis, he takes two of ‘each kind’ of artist so that, when the waters clear and the panic subsides, art history may be repopulated and restarted in the Promised Land…

And so the artists shall be exhibited two by two. There is an aesthetic logic and conceptual rigor to the pairings: on the one hand, two artists have been paired because they are superficially similar; but on the other hand, they contradict and juxtapose one another, entering into dialogue on an artistic theme, idea or method. It all ends with magic.

    Anya BEAUMONT + Nural MOSER
Site-specific installations that renegotiate the poetics of space.

    Gary MYATT + David GADEKE
Explorations of the phenomenological strife or harmony of the mind and body.

    Stephanie HERBERT + Annie ZAMERO
Glimmers of memory, traces of humanity in mere shadows or iconic tokens.

    Lorraine CLARKE + Crow DILLON-PARKIN
Sculptural interventions into the pervasive mythologies of modernity.

    Jon DOUBLEDAY + Jeremy BURNS
Abstract painting stretched between the logic of geometry and spirit.

    Judy CLARKSON + Geoff GUNBY
Portraits of men and women whose worlds are not exhausted by representation.

    Ellie SPAFFORD + Anne ADAMSON
Landscape along the lines of fiction and reality, where feeling follows form.

Russell CHATER + SHUSTER & MOSELEY

  • Call For Artists: The Other Art Fair 2016

Euroart is pleased to announce that we have become a studio partner to The Other Art Fair 2016.

The 11th edition of the fair will return to the magnificent Victoria House in the heart of Bloomsbury, 7-10 April 2016. This prestigious space allows for the development of greater curation of the fair, and hence the overall visitor experience, to produce the best edition of The Other Art Fair yet.

The Other Art Fair continues to grow within the art world. The 10th edition in October 2015 welcomed over 14,000 visitors and attracted representatives from over 200 leading contemporary galleries and art organisations such as Tate, Blain Southern, Sotheby's Institute, Rosenfeld Porcini, Gazelli Art House, White Cube, Christie's, Lisson Gallery and Hauser & Wirth. Many artists have been approached about public and private commissions as well as post-fair sales and gallery collaborations. All of which is testament to London's desire for direct access to cutting edge work.

    Apply now!
    Deadline: Friday 15th January 2016
There is no application fee. Stand fees start at £925+VAT.

After the huge number of applications for the 2015 fair, TOAF are limiting the number of applications and cannot accept more entries once the quota of 500 is reached. Selection will be made on a rolling basis: the earlier you apply, the earlier you can be notified of the result - and hopefully confirm your place at the biggest edition of The Other Art Fair yet.

  • The Art Apart Fair. Town Hall Hotel, Patriot Square, Bethnal Green, E2 9NF. 17th to 19th October 2014

We are pleased to announce that 10 Euroartists have been selected to exhibit at the exciting London debut of Art Apart Fair: Lorraine Clarke, Sally Wilford, Geoff Gunby, Judy Clarkson, Rhed Fawell, Jeanette Abi-Khalil, Wen Wu, Ethel Davies, Anya Beamont and Oscar Lett.

A hotel-based boutique art fair, the Art Apart Fair made its debut in Singapore in January 2013 and showcases the works of emerging and mid-career artists. First staged in Conrad Centennial Singapore, it was later moved to Parkroyal on Pickering where rooms, lobbies and corridors are transformed into a dreamscape of mesmerising fine art to excite both art lovers and discerning collectors.

It makes its international debut in London in October with editions in New York, Paris and Milan already in the pipeline.

The concept of an art fair held in a hotel originated in 1994 as the Gramercy International Art Fair in the rooms of Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City. It has since taken off and is regarded as a good platform since it helps visitors in visualising how the artworks might look in their homes.  Imagine seeing and buying art in hotel rooms, corridor and lobby. It may be new, but it is an emerging trend in the world of art. Art collectors have been buying art in Hotel Art Fairs. After the success of the “Apart Fairs Series” in Singapore during 2013 and 2014 , it will now debut in London and New York in 2015. It is an international art fair that embraces the diversity of cultural content and artistic expression from around the world. Providing a dynamic and intimate art viewing experience, it offers an unconventional way to visualize art in a closer to home context.

The Art Apart Fair.   Town Hall Hotel, Patriot Square, Bethnal Green, E2 9NF.

    17th to 19th October 2014

    From 11:30am to 9pm daily.

  • Spectre of Abandonment 9-14 September 2014. Candid Arts Trust, 3-5 Torrens Street, Islington, London, EC1V 1NQ

Euroart is pleased to invite you to an exceptional combination of the arts as Euroart’s art director Lorraine Clarke and three poets explore how the artforms, fine art and poetry, can interact and engender inspiration, through an intriguing exhibition of Lorraine’s fascinating sculptures and installations, and performances of poetry.

In “Spectre of Abandonment”, the three invited poets, Agnes Meadows, Sue Johns and Sarah Reilly, will perform poetry they created in response to Lorraine’s artworks. Conversely, Lorraine presents new artworks inspired by poems she selected from each of the poets’ anthologies. She also presents new sculpture with her own poetry.

Agnes Meadows - international poet, writer and ex-journalist.
Sue Johns- writer and performer of theatrical monologues.
Sarah Reilly - poet, performer and visual artist.

Artist/Writer Rebecca Baillie writes: “The work of Lorraine Clarke is a bombardment for the senses. Clarke is interested in making the invisible workings of the human psyche visible, and in recognition that deep interiority is complex and multiple, many of her sculptures are comprised of hundreds of tiny elements. Parts typically overflow, but at the same time, elaborate attempts are made to contain any spillage. Clarke uses baskets, boxes, jars and small cylinders as homes for her objects, as though without this imposed structure, the weight of the emotions caught within could fly into the atmosphere and create a chaos too disruptive for everyday living. It is as though Clarke reveals to us something of the human spirit, but does so in a seemingly contradictory way, adding order and organization as the best, or perhaps the only way to communicate this difficult and irreducible concept”.
